Read the number question: a transfer fee, a market value, a player's goals, a crowd.
- 2
Give your guess: slide to it in the daily, type it when you play friends.
- 3
The closest guess scores most; an exact hit pays extra.
Rules and details
Closest Wins is a football numbers game. Each question names a real figure: a transfer fee, a player's peak market value, his league goals in a season, his games for a club, his height or the crowd at a big European night. You give a number, and the closer it is to the truth, the better.
Solo, it is a daily: ten questions, a slider across a plausible range, and points by proximity (the exact value scores 100, a quarter of the range away scores nothing), with the day's accuracy leaderboard. With friends, 2 to 6 players type their guesses at the same time and the closest takes the round: in a 1v1 the closest scores, with three or more there is a podium, and an exact answer earns a bonus.
It is the same idea as the price-is-right and "closest wins" tie-breaker of a pub quiz, built on football: guess the transfer fee, guess the market value, guess the attendance. Every number comes from a traceable dataset, and the friend rooms use their own question pool, so nobody can learn the answers from the daily.
Earn coins and XP in the daily and climb its leaderboard; with friends you play for the podium.
