Rules and details
Played for Both is the football game from the videos: two clubs, one question. Who played for both? Every day there are ten pairs, from rivals who rarely share a player to clubs with dozens of names in common.
You get 10 seconds per pair and you only need one footballer. Type the surname, the full name or the name he is known by; accents do not matter and small typos are forgiven. A wrong answer blocks the box for one second. Loans count: if he was a first-team player there, he is a valid answer.
New pairs arrive every day at midnight Argentina time. Without an account you play the previous days and see example answers for every pair; signed-in players get today's ten pairs and one ranked run on the daily leaderboard, where equal scores are split by speed. Today's answers stay hidden until the day is over.
It is even better with friends. Open a room, share the link and up to six of you race on the same pairs: in a 1v1 the first right answer takes the point, and with three or more the first scores 3, the second 2 and everyone else who finds one scores 1. The host picks the league: Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, Süper Lig or the biggest clubs mixed.
